With the World Cup about to kick off on 21st November, employers may find this a tricky time with multiple employees requesting time off to watch matches, or expecting to watch the games in their workplace or potentially not attending work due to hangovers. We would advise you to consider sending out advance communication of how you will manage any of the above situations should they occur and your expectations of your employees behaviour during the tournament.
