The government announced in December a further extension of the furlough scheme:
• The scheme will remain open until the 30th April 2021; and
• The Government will maintain contributions at 80% (up to £2500 a month) for hours not worked.
Until 30th April 2021 employers will only be required to pay NICS and pensions for the hours not worked.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has also confirmed he will be extending the Government-guaranteed Covid-19 business loan schemes until the end of March.
